How is it possible that there is an unlimited supply of CombiCoin 2017-11-27T09:43:51+00:00

Each time a CombiCoin is created the assets backing it have been bought. This means that as long as there are assets available to asset back a CombiCoin we can create it. Since it is very unlikely that there won’t be any assets available, there is a unlimited supply of CombiCoins.

How do I keep my wallets safe? 2017-09-19T18:26:24+00:00

It is recommended that you store backups of both forms of your key (the Keystore / UTC file version and paper wallet version) in physically separate, offline environments.

This prevents loss of the private key & password due to: dead hard drive, lost USB drive, wet piece of paper, etc. Keep in mind that physical loss can affect an entire area (e.g. fire, flood).

What happens when I lose my private key? 2017-09-19T18:26:27+00:00

There may be a chance that you saved it without realizing it. So, just in case:

  • Do a full search of your computer for “UTC-“ and see if the private key shows up.
  • Do a full search of your computer for your address without the 0x at the beginning.
  • If you know when you created it, look through all files during that time period for any documents that may hold your key or screenshots.
  • Generate a new wallet via https://www.myetherwallet.com/#generate-wallet and take a look and the different options you may have downloaded or saved. Sometimes that can jog your memory.

Please print your private key of your wallet on paper and keep it in multiple physical locations.

What happens when I lose my password? 2017-09-19T18:26:33+00:00

There’s no way to recover your Ethereum wallet password, since you are the only person who had it and the wallet is now encrypted.

What you can try is brute-forcing it using variations in your favorite passwords, by using this tool.

What is the total supply of TRIA Tokens? 2017-09-19T18:26:58+00:00

The total supply of TRIA tokens is the amount issued during this ICO and will depend on the amount of funds received. After this ICO the TRIA Token’s supply is fixed and cannot be changed.

I missed the ICO 2017-11-13T11:03:48+00:00

The ICO ran from the 1st of September 2017 untill the 30th of September 2017. During those 30 days the Foundation raised about $2,260,000 USD. During the ICO people could buy 1 CombiCoin and 1 TRIA Token for $10 USD. From the total amount raised about $180.000 USD was reserved for developing trading software to keep CombiCoin’s price close to the price of the assets backing it and for other starting costs Triaconta had to make. Next to that Triaconta is awarded with 6% of the total amount of all CombiCoins. Together this meant that a single CombiCoin costed $8.64 USD at inception.

After the ICO the CombiCoin sales are reopened again, but not for a fixed price but for the actual value of the assets backing it minus 5% service costs fee. TRIA Tokens are no longer issued, but they can be bought on EtherDelta. Here is a tutorial how: tutorial.

Is Exodus Wallet supported? 2017-09-19T18:27:09+00:00

Any ERC20 tokens can be stored at your ETH address in Exodus. The problem is that you won’t be able to see or exchange the tokens. In short, if you send an ERC20 token to your Exodus wallet, it will be stored at your wallet address, however, Exodus will not display it. You can check your token balance on https://etherscan.io/ by pasting in your ETH address, and checking the token tracker dropdown. To manage your tokens, you’ll have to export your private key to MyEtherWallet. Here’s a video tutorial with details about exporting your private key for use in MyEtherWallet:

https://vimeo.com/224680994

Please be careful with your private key. It controls your ETH and all your ERC20 tokens.

Is there a risk that I lose some of my money? 2017-09-19T18:27:09+00:00

We cannot predict the future of the cryptocurrency market, so we cannot guarantee that the CombiCoin price will go up. But if the overall trend of the cryptocurrency market is positive, the CombiCoin price will go up. CombiCoin is the safest bet on the cryptocurrency market as a whole.
